Gerry Buggy

has over 30 years experience in the technology industry, both as a Founder, CEO and Investor. His major expertise and focus, is within Data, Analytics, Enterprise software and FinTech. He has been co/founder/executive of major companies, two of which had successful IPO’s and two had onward strategic sales, notable mentions include TIBCO, NEON , Privitar, Reuters, First Derivatives and KX.  As an investor focused on data related start-ups he has guided companies through all stages and he also been involved with various exits, including Form3, Quantile, RxData Science, and Ocula Technologies.  Gerry has a rare combination of a strong global technology and investor network, combined with a deep understanding of execution across R&D, Strategy, Sales and Marketing.

Mike Powell

has over 35 years’ experience in traded financial markets, risk management, VC/PE investing and board representation. Mike was Global Head of Markets and a Group General Manager at HSBC after a 25-year career based in both Asia and London.  After leaving HSBC in 2008 Mike successfully invested in, and advised, a number of technology companies
including; Fixnetix, Smart Trade, FinEx Capital, ECM, Vallum, Privitar, VeridiumID and Elwood. Mike has been a long serving non-executive director of two PE funds; Jadwa Investments and Fajr Capital and Chairs the investment committee of Jadwa Investments. Mike has an MBA, is FCA registered and a qualified director.

Graham Ferguson

has over 30 years’ experience in the financial and technology markets, corporate governance and venture investing in technology-based companies. Graham joined the board of FD Technologies in 2008 as Chief Financial Officer and played a fundamental role in development and delivery of the growth strategy for the 
business whose revenue grew 25 times during his tenure. During his career he has been extensively involved in
corporate acquisitions, restructurings, developing strategic partnerships, investment activities and latterly 
established and ran the FD Technologies Venture Fund. He formerly held senior roles with KPMG, Bank of Ireland and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Simon Luhr

Simon has over 35 years’ experience in financial markets and venture/private equity investing in technology-based companies and board representation. Simon was a Divisional Head of Morgan Stanley Europe, a Senior Managing Director of Nomura International before becoming a founding partner and CEO of the hedge fund Marble Bar Asset Management LLP (MBAM). After the sale of MBAM, Simon, also founded SW1 Capital and FinEx Capital, investing in technology and web-based companies including the ETF Exchange, MDX Technologies and InvestCloud. Simon is a FCA, CBI and CMA registered and a qualified director. 

Theodore Voegt

As a former VP in Technology at JP Morgan and Systematic Trading Developer, Theodore has built an extensive background across multiple asset classes and technology stacks, allowing him to create transformative solutions and drive technological advancements in the financial sector. At FinEx Capital Theodore developed systematic trading strategies across US Equity and FX markets leveraging machine learning and AI techniques, before moving to JP Morgan as a full stack software engineer, focusing on desk and business aligned solutions within the Macro Investable Indices Space and specialising in market data solutions for OTC products. Later, he transitioned to a client-facing business within the Macro space, where he led a team of engineers in developing new offerings for JP Morgan’s pre-trading analytics platform. Theodore holds an MSc in Computer Science. 

Patrick Dooher

With over 20 years’ experience Patrick is a seasoned leader in the Financial IT sector with a strong background in Capital Markets. Former Global Head of Product Development at FD Technologies PLC / KX, Patrick has been responsible for designing and implementing some of the largest data capture and analysis solutions for tier one investment banks and hedge funds globally. More recently Patrick has focused on bringing cloud computing, data analytics, and artificial intelligence together to drive operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance business outcomes.
